(( I am very much into Doctor Who, and therefore play from as canon a stance as possible. I strive to make what I write believable.
I have a couple of headcanons for my version Master that make an impact on his decisions and choices when compared to other versions of the Master.
Firstly, I play a post-EOT Master.
I feel that a ost-EOT Master would associate uncleanliness with a fall of power. He’s very fond of power, don’t you think? So for him to have owned the entire planet twice (technically), and then to be King of the Wasteland, and then to fall so incredibly far, I feel that he would have a problem with dirt and germs. He’s always been a bit fancy anyway. He likes the best anyone can offer and more, so why wouldn’t he want everything to be high quality, neat, and perfect. I feel that he would take care of what he had to the best of his ability normally, so he’s just a bit paranoid about keeping everything clean.
Not to mention that he’s incredibly wary about everything. He’s constantly smelling things to tell what they are, if they’re poisoned, etc. He pulls his hands into his sleeves and bunches the ends up, sealing his hands in the sweater when he needs to touch something. These things being said, he takes very good care of himself and those he chooses to be around.
Another Headcanon I have is that the Master had a son on Gallifrey who died at the age of 9 because of an “accident” at the Academy. The Doctor, who graduated later than the rest of the Deca, took a job of watching over time. When he’d heard what happened he went to the Master to see if he was okay, only to get the full brunt of the Master’s rage. Therefore, when the Doctor left Gallifrey, the Master had nothing and willingly took the job of tracking down the Doctor.
Please see the Origins page for the character’s base story.
He’s been through multiple universes, and is starting to get agitated and restless, so he’s a bit snappy and snarky at first. Don’t give up on him.
Thanks for reading, hope to RP with you soon!
